GWADAR: Police on Sunday registered a case against the chief of the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF), Dr Allah Nazar, and its spokesman Gohram Baloch for Saturday’s massacre of 20 construction workers near Turbat.

Police said the FIR had been registered against the BLF leaders on an application of a labourer, Allah Dina, who was injured in the gun attack on the construction company’s camp in Gogdan area, some 15km from Turbat town.

A police officer told Dawn that the FIR had been registered under Sections PPC 302, 16-324, POPA 78T, ATA, 147 and 14-7.

Security has been beefed up in and around Turbat. Patrolling by FC, Levies and police has been increased in town to keep a vigilant eye on the movement of suspects.

Security personnel were also deployed at the hospital where the three injured workers are under treatment.
