KARACHI: Following the early exit of third seed Farhan Zaman on Saturday, second seed Aamir Atlas Khan followed suit as unseeded Farhan Mehboob continued his giant-killing run by making it to the last four in the Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship at the PN Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan squash complex on Sunday.

After winning the first two games 11-9, 11-5, eighth seed Mohammad Saquib Yousuf was 5-1 up in the third when his opponent Aamir left the court citing cramps. The match lasted for a short span of 17-minutes.

Unseeded Farhan Mehbob, who shone while routing Farhan in the first round the other day, remained in contention for the crown inflicting a straight 11-7, 11-7, 11-4 defeat on seventh seed Shahjahan Khan in 30-minutes.

Top seed Nasir Iqbal and fourth seed Danish Atlas Khan justified their billing by completing the semi-finals line-up. The former took 42-minutes to overcome Tayyab Aslam 11-6, 11-9, 11-7 while the latter whipped Khawaja Adil Maqsood 14-12, 11-7, 11-5 in 27 minutes.

Nasir faces Farhan Mehboob while Danish takes on Mohammad Saquib Yousuf in the two semi-finals on Monday.

Quarter-finals: Nasir Iqbal bt Tayyab Aslam 11-6, 11-9, 11-7; Fahran Mehboob bt Shahjahan Khan 11-7, 11-7, 11-4; Danish Atlas Khan bt Khawaja Adil Maqbool 14-12, 11-7, 11-5; Mohammad Saquib Yousuf bt Aamir Atlas Khan 11-9, 11-5, 5-1 (retired hurt).
