Child killer hanged

LAHORE: A death-row convict was executed in Kot Lakhpat Jail on Thursday.

Hamid Mehmood was convicted of kidnap and murder in 2004. He had killed 12-year-old Ali Raza in Chishtian after the family failed to pay him ransom.

Chishtian Sadar police had arrested him under terror and penal code charges. He was executed at 9pm.
