KARACHI: Motorcyclist crushed to death

KARACHI, Sept 27: A motorcyclist was crushed to death by a speeding bus in Pirabad police limits on Saturday.

The police said that Mohammad Azam, 47, was on his motorbike, when a speeding bus of route 1-D, hit him.

Azam suffered serious injuries and died on the spot. The body was later shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

The police impounded the bus and arrested its driver Ateeq Ahmed. An FIR has been registered against Ateeq Ahmed for killing unintentionally Azam.

BODY FOUND: A bullet-riddled body of a man was found in an under construction shop in Orangi town on Saturday.

Police said the victim was identified as Shakil Ahmed, 30. He might have been kidnapped and killed later, the police added.

Police shifted the body to a hospital for an autopsy and started investigating into the murder.
