LAHORE: Two PML-N MPAs on Saturday testified before an election tribunal in the NA-125 alleged rigging case and denied charges.

Mian Naseer Ahmad and Yasin Sohail were elected to the Punjab Assembly from PP-155 and PP-156, respectively, the provincial assembly constituencies falling under the National Assembly constituency NA-125. Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique was elected as MNA from NA-125.

The tribunal had summoned them to record their statement about the alleged rigging in the constituency.

The tribunal adjourned hearing till April 11 and asked lawyers of both sides to come up with arguments.

The tribunal also compiled its report about inspection of 10 randomly selected polling stations of NA-125.

Runner-up candidate from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Hamid Khan had filed a petition alleging massive rigging in the constituency.
