Hafeez to appear for official bowling test in Chennai

ISLAMABAD: Suspended Pakistan allrounder Mohammad Hafeez will undergo official testing of his bowling action in India next week.
The Pakistan Cricket Board says on Wednesday the ICC will retest Hafeez at Sri Ramachandra University in Chennai on April 9.
Hafeez was suspended from bowling after he was reported during a Test against New Zealand in Abu Dhabi in November.
The offspinner's elbow exceeded beyond the allowed 15-degree limit during a Test in London.
Hafeez was to undergo a retest during the World Cup, where he was picked as a batsman, but returned home before the tournament began in February due to a foot injury.
He has worked with experts at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore to bring his elbow extension within the permissible tolerance limits.

@jawad , how's that funny? They have lab which is advance and results are accepted by ICC so instead of spending more money to travel to UK or Australia, it's better to get tested in India.

No not really. Just think, Why is it that Pakistani fans always grumble about the Pakistani being treated unfairly.
Why is every body against Pakistan?
Why is it that the action of Pakistani greats are found wanting?
Why not ask the Pakistani coaches the reason they did not spot the defective action of their players ?
Always blame others for our own shortcomings.

whether he is cleared or not, he should not be in the team. He is mediocre batsman at best and a suspicious bowler. No point of risking the team.

my eleven would be shahzad/ imran nazir, sarfaraz, hafeez, azhar, fawad, maqsood,akmal, wahab, junaid, amir, ajmal.
I think irfan's time is up. i dont see him in the next world cup

@Waseem Sarwar : Sri Ramachandra University is a medical university of very high repute in Chennai and has invested heavily in various facilities to provide research in various medical disciplines. Ofcourse , getting a private/open quota MBBS seat costs a bomb here and can be as high as INR 8 million .

Not being cricket wise I do not understand how this testing will work. He can pass the test in controlled conditions but start throwing in actual games by flexing his elbow. How will the umpires recognize the deviation of say 5/10 degrees? Until ICC can devise some kind of real time system (say by making the players wear some kind of body sensors) this is useless. Alternately, why not allow the bowlers to throw but make them throw say from five yards or so behind the bowling crease?

Is Pakistan totally barren land and we have to have Afridi or Hafeez in the team? Why can't we have genuine spinners in the team like other teams? With Ajmal and likes who needs the second grade bowlers? Afridi and Fafeez have been great spinners but only against mediocre oppositions.

we desperately needed you at the world cup 2015 man. where did you go?
And in my opinion he should have been made captain of the ODIs team. and the World Cup should be held every three years. and a T20 cup every two years. and please start grooming another keeper in at least one format just in case Sarfaraz does some misfielding.
