Two killed in accidents

LAHORE: Two people, including a woman, were killed in as many accidents in the city on Monday.

Pedestrian Bilal, 18, was run over by a bus in Shamnagar. The teenager suffered head injuries and succumbed to his wounds at hospital.

Sanda police reached the spot and arrested the driver.

Later heirs of the deceased pardoned the driver.

In the second incident, 30-year-old Sonia of Liaquatabad was alighting from a rickshaw when a motorcyclist hit her near Pindi Raputan. She breathed her last at Jinnah Hospital.

Liaquatabad police handed over the body to the heirs after legal formalities.

The family of the deceased refused to lodge the case, police said.
