Survival in the wild

THIS is with reference to the cover story “Survival in the wild” compiled by Ambreen Arshad (YW, November 22, 2014). The article contained very useful information that can come very handy if anyone happens to get stuck somewhere in the wild.

I believe everyone should have the knowledge of how to survive in wild or desolate places while having little or no sources.

Myths and mysteries

YOUNG World never ceases to amaze me! It has everything! A theme for each week; there are Poet’s and Art Corner which bring children’s talents in front of thousands of people. Stories with a lesson to learn, jokes, quotations, weird news, everything for everyone!

But right now, I would like to specifically talk about the article “The scary part of trick or treat” by Fatima Sajid (YW, November 22, 2014).

This article was very useful because it contained information about Halloween which commonly people don’t know about.

The information given in the article should be shared with everyone who celebrates Halloween so that they know the background of the event. This event is not worth being celebrated. In fact, its origin is very horrible.

THE article “The scary part of trick or treat” (YW, November 22, 2014) by Fatima Sajid, was very informative. I was shocked to read the background of the day celebrated as Halloween. It is not a fun-filled activity. In fact, its history is quite barbaric and horrifying.

So one should always be careful about participating or celebrating events and should read about them thoroughly to make sure they are worth taking part in. We tend to blindly follow alien trends without giving it a second thought. This should not be done.

Zoya learned her lesson well!

THIS is with the reference to the story “Zoya learned her lesson well” by Syeda Armeen Nasim (YW, February 28, 2015).

It was a touching story with an unforgettable moral. From this story I to learn many things.

Like Zoya, I was also weak in physics but I worked harder and gave more time to my studies and after sometime I got over my weakness.

The story contains a message for all those students who are weak in their studies and opt for other ways.

They should work hard and give more time to their studies instead of doing anything which causes regret later in their life.
