PCB urged to restore Niaz Stadium

Published September 25, 2003

HYDERABAD, Sept 24: Secretary District Cricket Association, (DCA) Hyderabad Faheem Baig Mughal, has urged Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give due attention to Niaz Stadium Hyderabad, the only international stadium in the interior of Sindh.

He pointed out that if international cricket activities were not revived in Hyderabad then the people of interior Sindh would protest against the unjustified policies of the PCB.

He was addressing a gathering of cricket officials at PCB Regional Academy ground on Wednesday.

Faheem stated that it was unfair that Niaz Stadium was being constantly ignored and added that PCB must resolve the issue since it was working wholeheartedly for the promotion of cricket all over the country.

He demanded that Niaz Stadium should be allotted a match against South Africa.
