Science without a lab

THIS is to bring into the attention of the education authorities of Pakistan that the Girls High School in Absor, Turbat, does not have a laboratory and students of science subjects have to struggle hard to perform well in examinations.

And now students show less interest in science subjects and prefer other fields. This system is unjust towards all those students who want to study science but are not being facilitated with just a laboratory. It is my request to the concerned authorities to immediately take notice of this matter.

Unravelling invisibility

THIS is with reference to the cover story “Unravelling invisibility” by Saanwal Karamat Barlaas (YW, February 21, 2015). I enjoyed reading the article as it dealt in detail with the interesting concept of invisibility. We read and watch movies that have characters with the power of becoming invisible, but we never thought about the idea in such a way. So I thank the writer for writing on such a unique topic.

THE article “Unravelling invisibility” by Saanwal Karamat Barlaas was very nicely written. It was full of information that I didn’t know before. In the same issue, however, the centre poster on the comic character the Penguin was very boring.

I want to request the YW team to stop publishing these posters as they are not very interesting. We would prefer celebrity posters or something which is eye-catching. I hope my request will be considered.

Word of the week

THIS is regarding the new section “Word of the week”. I appreciate the efforts of the YW team for bringing tremendous changes in the magazine and ‘Word of the week’ is one such change that we siblings were excited to see. We really like it and thanks the YW team for this new and interesting section.

The weekly weird

THIS is regarding ‘The weekly weird’ section (YW, February 14, 2015). I was shocked to see only two news items in the section; it is very upsetting as I loved reading this section most. So I would request the YW team please add more news in this section.

Spotlight

THIS is regarding the new section “Spotlight”. It was a real surprise for me and all my friends who are big lovers of YW.

We always wanted YW to have celebrity news, so it came as a dream come true. I am really thankful to the YW team for including this section.

I WOULD like to thank the YW team for starting “Spotlight”. It is really a great addition and now I think YW is a complete magazine as it offers a wide range of reading material, such as stories, articles, weird news and now entertainment news too.

I am looking forward to reading more celeb news in it as this is just fascinating.
