KARACHI: Karachi University overcame hosts Iqra University 48-41 to win the HEC Inter-university Zone ‘G’ basketball tournament at the Arambagh floodlit court on Friday evening.

The victory revolved around prolific scorers Ali and Asad Ali who conjured up 13 and 10 points respectively. Saad and Tashfeen scored 10 points apiece for the losers but in vain.

Tashfeen was declared Best Player of the Tournament. Both the finalists have qualified for the final round of the HEC inter-university basketball tournament which takes place in Islamabad sometime next month.
