Turkish PM to arrive in Pakistan on two-day official visit

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is expected to arrive in Pakistan on Feb 17 for a two day long official visit, sources said on Saturday.
Official sources told Dawn that during his first ever visit to Pakistan since taking office in August last year, the Turkish premier will be meeting with Pakistan's political and military leadership.
"Mr Davutoglu will lead Turkey in the Pakistan-Turkey strategic dialogue, which will also take place on Feb 17 in Islamabad," the source said.
The Turkish premier is also expected to meet President Mamnoon Hussain who will later host a banquet in his honour.
Last month, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Cemil Cecik agreed to enhance interaction between parliamentarians of the two countries and share their legislative experiences.

The agreement was reached during a meeting that took place on the sidelines of the 10th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member states (PUIC) in Istanbul.

There cannot be anyting better than the Pak-Turkish all around strategic entente and collaboration for the two countries and the region as a whole. The inclusion of Afghanistan and Iran will reinforce the structure against the outside geopolitical games being played in the region.

You should be in your best of health when the Turkish PM comes to pay you a visit. You have to tell him to cut all their ties with India. They need to stop allowing Indian movies shot in Turkey.

Can Nawaz brothers learn some lessons about nationalism, honesty and patriotism I wonder. Greed to the levels of SB, Zardari's and majority of Pakistan politicians is curse. All the mentioned are sick. BUT keep hope, perhaps Allah showers Pakistan poor masses with mesey.

Turky and Pakistan are MashaAllah two brotherly muslim countries. Enhanced cooperation between two countries can benefit both countries. However, for practical and measurable results, any projects undertaken must have clear objective and completion dates. Even better if there is a press release to inform media/ public what progress was made in every three or six months. Thus to avoid, any well intentioned projects lost in beauracratic shuffle.

Perhaps Ayaz Sadiq our NA speaker share his experiences as to how he cheated in the 2013 elections. He has the audacity to represent as Speaker of Pakistan's NA considering various poll rigging allegations against him. Someone who asked for stay order at the same time claiming that there was no rigging. Can Pakistan only afford cheats & lairs as politicians?

I hope to see a modern Asian Express train service between Lahore/Karachi via Tehran/Isfahan to Ankara/Istanbul. This is completely doable and would integrate the ecomonies and people of these regions. Let us pry the governments of these countries can deliver.

The world is progressing ahead fast....for example, inter alia, the BRICS group of countries. But a few countries like Turkey have decided to take a reverse direction in their journey....after abandoning the principles of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. A country is known by the allies it keeps....Turkey's choice of Pakistan as an ally is perplexing, but hardly surprising when we remember the direction it has decided to take for its future.
