KP traffic chaos

THE PTI chief has finally remembered that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people had voted for him and given him a province to rule. He has promised to do things, but has he asked someone what is the biggest problem of the province, in general, and Peshawar, in particular?

Let me tell him that the world’s most chaotic traffic is found in Peshawar. In Hayatabad, for example, no one could have imagined traffic choking and dozens of traffic accidents. Now this government has made possible what was considered impossible. Some traffic engineer continuously plays with U-turns and roundabouts and keeps aggravating the problem.

The IDPs and Afghan population are violating every rule in the book with impunity and all the traffic police do is to gather in strength at a few locations, attired in new uniforms, and do nothing.

The government does not seem to realise that it is costing us dearly in terms of wasted fuel, banged-up cars, waste of time and, above all, extreme stress.
