KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday launched an interactive service that allows the people of Karachi to lodge complaints with the agency through the short message service (SMS), an official said.

“The service will not only entertain complaints but also address any concern showed by the people regarding the FIA or any of our officials,” FIA director Shahid Hayat told a press conference.

“The complainants can send their texts through their mobile phone to 8398. The information shared would be verified and then through a due process it would be converted into proper complaints.”

However, he added that anyone who tried to mislead the agency through wrong information would also be held accountable and they would also face the due legal process for such an act.
