SUKKUR: Police claimed to have arrested four criminals, including a hardened dacoit carrying the head money of Rs500,000, after an encounter on Thursday and seized arms and ammunition from them.

According to Sukkur SSP Tanveer Hussain Tunio, on a secret information about presence of four suspects in Raza Goth area of Sadhuja near Pannu Aqil, a police party conducted a raid in the area.

When police were cordoning off the area, the suspects opened fire which was returned by the police, he said.

Later, the police party arrested Dargahi Mahar, carrying the head money, and his three associates, he added.
