Four foreigners rescued in Turbat

GWADAR: Four foreigners held hostage by drug smugglers were freed by police during a raid on a house in Turbat on Tuesday, officials said.

Kech District Police Officer Imran Qureshi said the smugglers had kept the foreigners in the house in Satellite Town in connection with payment from some parties.

The men rescued were identified as Mohammad from Tanzania and Suleman, Sam and Sultan Amin from Yemen. A case was registered against the owner of the house, Ahmed Kingi. However, no arrest was reported till late night.

Meanwhile, the owner of a medical store was gunned down in Tump Belecha area of Kech district.

According to officials, men on a motorcycle opened fire on Master Iqbal, killing him on the spot.

The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.
