Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy.

An investigation officer suspected the girl was strangled after rape. Police registered a case and started investigation to identify the girl, he added.

In another incident, a man who had been injured by robbers during a robbery bid in Shadman two days ago, died at a local hospital.

Police said Shakeel, a resident of Kasur, was shot at and injured by two robbers when he offered resistance. Shakeel was shifted to Mayo Hospital where he died after two days of treatment.

Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case.
