Musharraf to meet Bush on 24th

Published September 15, 2003

WASHINGTON, Sept 14: President Pervez Musharraf will have a separate, one-on-one meeting with President George W. Bush in New York on Sept 24, official sources told Dawn on Sunday.

The two presidents will meet at New York’s Waldorf Austria hotel during the UN General Assembly, the sources said.

President Musharraf will also attend a reception President Bush is holding on Sept 23 for the heads of states and governments attending the General Assembly.

Earlier, the two presidents were only expected to have a ceremonial meeting during or after the reception.

There have been some changes in the president’s schedule as well. Instead of Sept 18, he is now coming to the United States on Sept 21.
