"it was the responsibility of the federal and provincial governments to provide security to the people" No! it is your responsibility to tell the Taliban to not kill those that disagree with their philosophy. “A government, which can’t provide security to its children, has no right to rule,” No! those who plan and conduct terrorist activities to the extent of killing children in cold blood have no right to live. Cant imagine why anyone would take Sirajul Haq seriously.

The religious political parties have to play a major role in eliminating terrorism in the country. Without their support it will be impossible to achieve any success as most of the terrorist groups use the name of Islam to gain support of the masses. The people trying to undermine the importance of Ulemas and religious leaders in the fight against terrorism are not doing any service to the cause. In a religious society like we have in Pakistan, the mosques and madrasas have to be on board to succeed.

The present Emir of JI is very media savvy; therefore he doesn't articulate the true policies of his party, whereas his predecessor was more forthright in expressing his and his party's views for which his sanity was often questioned. Amongst his many gems were; a woman raped had really no recourse in Islam since she could not produce four witnesses to the act, the Taliban terrorists were 'our brothers', Baitullah Mehsud was 'a martyr', Osama bin Laden 'Syed ul Shuhada', whereas the Pakistani soldiers dying in the defense of the country couldn't be called martyrs because they were fighting 'America's war. At this time due to tremendous public anger against the Peshawar atrocity Sirajul Haq has taken a calculated harder stance but there should not be an iota of doubt in anybody's mind that the JI is a reactionary, unpatriotic party that like the other religious parties stands for establishment of an Islamic state in Pakistan and considers the brutal and savage tactics of the Taliban and other Jihadists as a means toward that end. Let us recognize the enemies of the state within our ranks.

All religious parties and non - religious parties really didn't care to address and take action till now, even reluctantly decided to take action against terrorism. However, it is government responsibility to protect its citizen, otherwise, they must withdraw from power.

Mr Sirajul Haq, you are not accepting the truth, why? Countless time, yourself have witnessed the responsibility taken by Jamati groups for bombing! Lal Masjid cleric was armed who recently even refused to condem Peshwar tragedy. I just cited one example to reject your null hypothesis of all Jamatis being clean! Not so!

Amir of Jamaat e Islami lives in fool's paradise and wants us to join him there. Religious parties spread hatred against other parties and peoples of other beliefs all the time. Where does he think Lashkir Tayyeba, Lashkir Jhangvi and many others of their ilk came from.

During Hurricane Katrina in the USA, i is well known and accepted fact the government of President George W. Bush did not take good care of the citizens of New Orleans, Louisiana and many people, mostly African Americans, perished. Did Mr. Bush resign from the Presidency since he certainly not only protected the citizens of New Orleans, he did a very poor job after the hurricane too?
