KARACHI: The Sindh government increased salary of policemen and brought it at par with their counterparts in Punjab, said a police spokesperson on Sunday.

He added a notification to this effect had been issued by the government.

IG police of Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali said that this was a very good decision.

“It will encourage the police and they will work with more dedication.”

The provincial police chief said the government had increased the salaries in view of “the excellent performance of Sindh police against crimes and terrorism”.
