SIALKOT: The graffiti eulogising the militant outfit based in parts of Syria and Iraq, Daish or Islamic State, has emerged on the shutters of shops and walls in the Chawinda city.

Several traders told police they were alerted on Wednesday morning that someone had sprayed and written pro-Daish slogan like ‘Daish Zindabad’ on their shops.

Shopkeepers joined by passerby looked at the graffiti in an utter shock.

They alerted the police which inspected the scene and arranged paint to erase the writing. Police officials said stern legal action would be taken against the people involved in the illegal practice.
