KARACHI: MNA Syed Sadruddin Shah and Faisal Farooq were unanimously re-elected president and chairman respectively of the Karachi Race Club (KRC) for a term of one year during the 28th annual general meeting held at the KRC premises on Saturday.

Sadruddin, who is also federal minister for overseas Pakistanis, is at the helm since 2008 while this is the second term of Farooq.

The committee shows three changes with Jawaid H Karim and Yaqoob Habib making reentry while Dr Umair is new face in the fold. They have come at the expense of Haji Khuda Bux Rajar, M. R. Hussain and Kamal Farooq.

The president has constituted finance and Jockey Club of Pakistan (JCP) committees. The finance committee comprises Faisal Farooq, Tajamul Hussain Mirza, Yaqoob Habib and Imamuddin Shouqeen while the JCP committee includes Dr Umair, Jawaid H. Karim and Yaqoob Habib.

Syed Sadruddin Shah (president), Faisal Farooq (chairman), Syed Ismail Shah, Dr Farhan Essa, Irfan Mehdi, Jawaid H Karim, Yaqoob Habib, Dr Umair, Imamuddin Shouqeen and Tajamul Hussain Mirza.
