LAHORE: The national cricket team of Kenya touring Pakistan from Dec 11 to 24 will play five One-dayers against Pakistan ‘A’ with all matches to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium. The first one-dayer is scheduled for Dec 13.

Earlier, it was decided that it would be a three-match series with two matches to be held in Lahore and one Faisalabad. However, keeping in view security situation and to avoid travelling, the PCB has decided to host all five matches in Lahore. Even the tourists will have to stay at the National Cricket Academy which is adjacent to the stadium for the same security reason.

“The series is a part of PCB chairman Shaharyar Mohammad Khan’s sustained endeavour to bring international cricket back to Pakistan, which may see more national teams visit the country in 2015,” a PCB press release stated.

The decision of hosting Kenya was taken at a meeting chaired by PCB Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad.

“The entire series would consist of day matches, and shall be spread over 45-overs each”, said Zakir Khan, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the series and PCB Director International Cricket.

Kenya would become the second national team after Afghanistan to visit Pakistan since March 9, 2009 when the Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked here.

Schedule:

Dec 13: First one-dayer.

Dec 15: Second one-dayer.

Dec 16: Third one-dayer.

Dec 18: Fourth one-dayer.

Dec 20: Fifth one-dayer.
