KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Monday submitted a requisition to speaker of the Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani through the secretary of the assembly to convene an assembly session immediately to discuss issues, including law and order in Karachi, with specific reference of frequent attacks on MQM camps set up at different places for its membership campaign.

The requisition was signed by the party’s 42 lawmakers, said the MQM’s parliamentary party leader Syed Sardar Ahmad.

He said according to the rules, the speaker could summon the session within 14 days considering the recent attacks on MQM camps in which its many activists, including MPAs Muhammad Hussain Khan and Saifullah Khalid, were wounded.
