KARACHI: A brilliant century by Rehan Ali guided Karachi Whites to a five-wicket victory over Karachi Blues in the second game of the best-of-three Disabled Cricket Series at the TMC Ground in Gulberg here the other day.

The series, which is being held under the auspices of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) for the preparation of upcoming National Championship, is now levelled at 1-1 after Karachi Blues won the opening fixture.

Chasing 208 in 40 overs, Karachi Whites reached their target in only 30.4 overs with Rehan playing a sterling role in their win.

The right handed opener, who had his both feet damaged in a bomb blast at the Star Gate near Karachi airport in 2007 and was also a Sindh ranking squash player in 2003, bludgeoned 14 boundaries and two sixes during his superlative 81-ball knock of 114.

Earlier, Karachi Blues were dismissed for 207 on the penultimate ball of their innings. Waheed Khan scored 53 off 74 balls with the aid of three fours while Mohammad Fawad hit four boundaries in his 35 from 42 deliveries.

The final match will be played on Dec 3 which happens to be the World Disabled Day.
