GWADAR: A strike was observed in various parts of Makran division on Fri­day on the eve of sixth dea­th anniversary of nationalist leader Nawabzada Balaach Khan Marri.

All shops, business centres and markets remained closed throughout the day in the port city of Gwadar.

Private banks and other offices also remained shut and traffic remained off the road. Similar reports were received from Turbat, Panjgur, Jeewani, Peeshkan, Mand and Tump towns.

Security personnel kept patrolling roads to avert any untoward incident.
