KARACHI: The Karachi Grammar School, the CAS School and Karachi American School sailed into the semi-finals of the NBP Inter-School Team Tennis Tournament after the preliminary rounds for 11-15 age category were held here at the NBP Sports Complex this week.

The semi-finals for both age categories of 11-15 years and 16-18 years are set to be played at the Karachi Club on Saturday.

The tournament is being organised with a view to promote tennis at the school level and encourage the children to take up healthy activities at an early stage of their careers. The NBP event is being held in collaboration with Perfect Strokes as part of a school tennis initiative programme.

The competition is based on two singles and one doubles match and are only conducted on weekends.

Results (preliminary rounds for age category 11-15 years):

CAS School beat British Overseas School 3-0

Karachi Grammar School beat British Overseas School 3-0

Karachi American School beat The Avicenna School 2-1

Karachi Grammar School beat Bay View Academy 3-0.
