KHUZDAR: A man and his son were gunned down on Quetta-Karachi National Highway near Mastung on Thursday, police said.

Mohammad Usman, his son Saddam Husain and other family members were going to Quetta from Mangochar by car. When they reached near Mastung, a group of people sprayed their car with bullets, killing Usman and Saddam.

Other members of the family remained unhurt.

The motive for the attack could not be ascertained. Police suspected it could be the result of tribal enmity. Investigation was in progress.
