MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Sunday verification of the resignations was the right of the National Assembly speaker and they would appear on Oct 29 for the process.

Speaking to the media here, he said a meeting of the PTI’s parliamentary committee was held the other day and a strategy to appear before the speaker was devised.

He said Imran Khan wanted to establish a new Pakistan for which a lot of passion and energy was required. “Our movement will bring about change in the country,” he said.

He said that during Muharram days incident of Karbla and the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain would be described instead of songs at the PTI sit-ins. He said Imran Khan would address the public gatherings in Rahim Yar Khan and Sahiwal on Nov 9 and 15, respectively.

He said hundreds of thousands of people would gather in Islamabad on Nov 30. He said the demand for the resignation of the prime minister still exists.

He said there would be no candidate of the PTI for by-election to NA-153 and no candidate would have the symbol of bat; however decision of supporting any candidate was yet to be taken.

He urged the Sindhi people wanting change in the country to participate in the public gathering of Nov 21 to extend their support for Imran Khan.
