KARACHI: Pakistan Railways is operating four special Eid trains to facilitate travel of people residing in the city to upcountry areas so that they can celebrate Eid with their families.

The first special train is leaving the metropolis in the morning on Oct 3 for Peshawar while the second train will leave the city the same day in the evening for Rawalpindi.

The third train will leave Karachi in the morning of Oct 4 for Sargodha (en route Faisalabad) and the fourth train will also leave the city the same day in the morning for Lahore (en route Multan and Faisalabad).

Similarly for the return journey from upcountry to the city, four special trains have been planned.

The first train will leave Lahore on Oct 8 for Karachi in the evening. The three remaining trains will leave the next day for the city from Multan, Lahore (en route Faisalabad) and Sargodha (en route Faisalabad).

Meanwhile, Pakistan Railways Workers Federation chief Manzoor Razi pointed out nefarious activities of mafia involved in ticket black marketing, which was fleecing passengers.

He said that more coaches should be connected to the special trains so that more people could join their families to celebrate the religious festival.
