KARACHI: Fahad Khan and Nouman Aftab won their respective men’s singles quarter-finals in the Abdul Majeed Trophy Ranking Tennis Championship at the Union Club here on Tuesday.

Fahad thrashed Salman Maniya in straight sets recording a formidable 6-1, 6-3 victory while Nouman overpowered Shoaib Abbas 6-0, 6-2.

In U-17 singles semi-final, Asad Khan trounced Nouman Aftab recording a convincing 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Mohammad Hamza defeated Ghufran Faiz 6-2, 6-3 while Rayyan Jawwad beat Mujahidullah by 6-1, 6-4 to secure their respective berths in U-13 singles semi-finals.

Men’s singles quarter-finals: Fahad Khan bt Salman Maniya 6-1, 6-3; Nouman Aftab bt Shoaib Abbas 6-0, 6-2.

U-17 quarter-finals: Ibrahim Iltifat bt Saad Mohammad Ali 6-3, 2-6, 10-1.

U-17 semi-finals: Asad Khan bt Nouman Aftab 6-1, 6-1.

U-13 quarter-finals: Mohammad Hamza bt Ghufran Faiz 6-2, 6-3; Rayyan Jawwad bt Mujahidullah 6-1, 6-4.

U-11 first round: Ibrahim Noman bt Ahmed Imran 8-1.

U-11 semi-finals: Ghufran Faiz bt Aneesh Talreja 8-0; Kirtan Mukesh walkover against Abdullah Ahmadani.

U-9 semi-finals: Zain Mohammad Ali bt Kirtan Mukesh 8-3.
