KARACHI: Pakistan Army began their Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) campaign with a bang on Monday as they thrashed new boys Pakistan Railways 6-0 at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad.

Army, who finished fifth last season, dominated their opponents and raced into a 3-0 lead with half an hour gone.

Najeeb opened the scoring in the third minute before Sarfraz scored the first of his two goals in the 24th minute with Ansar adding a third.

Ghulam Rasool also scored a brace for Army with his strikes in the 51st and 87th coming either side of Sarfraz’s second in the 79th.
