KARACHI: Tribute paid to Prof Khusro

KARACHI, Sept 1: Glowing tributes were paid to late Prof Ali Muhammed Khusro, the former vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, at a condolence meeting held on Sunday at Bahadur Yar Jang Club.

The meeting was arranged by the Osmania University Old Boys Association.

Prof Ali Muhammad Khusro, a world renowned economist, former chief editor of Financial Times, Delhi, and author of internationally acclaimed books, passed away in New Delhi a week ago.

Those, who spoke on the occasion and paid befitted tributes to late Khusro, included former federal information minister, Javed Jabbar, former diplomat Qutubuddin Aziz, eminent columnist, M.H. Askari, Dr Fazlur Rehman, Prof Habiba Razvi and Syed Muslehuddin.—APP
