KARACHI: Four die in accidents

KARACHI, Aug 31: Road traffic accidents claimed four lives in different parts of the city on Sunday.

A young man and a 10-year-old boy died while two others were injured when they were knocked down by a trailer (LSC-9142) at Moulvi Tameezuddin Khan Road. The dead were identified as Ramash, 22 and Surash, 6, while the two injured were identified as Ashok, 17, Preet, 5. The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

Saghir, 55, was knocked down by an unknown speeding vehicle near Ghousi Hotel on National Highway. His body was shifted to the JPMC for the postmortem examination.

In another accident, an unidentified youth in his mid 20’s was knocked down by an vehicle in Lyari on Sunday.

Police said the young pedestrian was crushed by a ten-wheeler trailer at Mauripur Road. The victim was taken to the Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

FALLS TO DEATH: A six-year old boy fell from the roof of his house while flying a kite in Agra Taj Colony on Sunday.

Police said that Fahad was flying a kite on the roof of his house when in a bid to get hold of another kite he fell down. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital.
