Balochistan election

Published September 16, 2014

BEING a resident of constituency NA-266, Balochistan, I have concerns over the elections held on May 11.

Two major and populous districts of Jaffarabad and Naseerabad are under the same constituency. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) declared that 25,562 votes were rejected in that area and the winning ratio was just 5,000 votes.

I personally witnessed the polls with helplessness. The winning candidate came on TV and expressed indignation instead of being embarrassed. The opponent sought justice from tribunals and courts but all in vain.

I request the ECP and Supreme Court to probe into the massive rigging in NA-266 to stop the trend of stealing public mandate.
