SAHIWAL: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Friday announced the result of intermediate part-II at a ceremony at Government Post Graduate College.

BISE Chairman Dr. Anwar Ahmed announced the results, according to which Muhammad Nauman Aslam, Nirmal Sultan and Zara Shaukat combined and Minahil bagged the first, second and third positions by scoring 1,032, 1,031 and 1,020 marks, respectively.

The first position holder belonged to DPS College, Okara, while the second and third position holders were from the Suffa College.

Out of the total 32,022 candidates, 16,749 passed the final intermediate examination, making the passing percentage 52.3pc.

Mian Atta Muhammad Manika, the provincial Auqaf minister, distributed shields and medals among the position holders. He stressed the youth must realise their potential and act responsibly in performing their duties.
