KARACHI: Pakistan stars Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed made handy contributions to help Pakistan CC annex the KCCA Zone-Vi ‘A’ Division League Cricket crown with a five-wicket victory over Alamgir Gymk­hana at here the other day.

Asad Shafiq hit 53 with the aid of four boundaries and a brace of sixes, while Sarfraz blasted three sixes and as many sixes in scoring an undefeated 44 as Pakistan CC reached 212-5 in 38 overs after being set a target of 209 in the final played at the RLCA Ground in Gulberg.

Earlier, Alamgir Gymkhana collected 208-7 in the stipulated 40 overs with opener Jaahid Ali making 54 (five boundaries), Syed Faraz Ali 52 (two sixes and two fours) and Usman Javed 43.

Experienced off-spinner Misbah Khan was Pakistan CC’s most successful bowler with figures of four for 74, while leg-spinner Shahzaib Ahmed Khan took two for 46.
