KARACHI, Aug 29: Syed Qaim Ali Shah of the PPP Parliamentarians, on Friday, said that despite evasive tactics, the government can not stop discussion on Greater Thal canal project.

Addressing a news conference in leader of the opposition’s chamber, he cautioned the government against serious reaction if the requisitioned session was prorogued without discussing opposition’s agenda.

He said that those, who were dragging their feet from earlier support to anti-Thal canal resolutions, must not forget that they would have to face people, who were enraged over government’s adamant attitude over the controversial projects.

Mr Qaim alleged that the treasury benches were not serious and deliberately wasting time, although they were signatory to the two resolutions of the assembly.
