LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday allowed Ayaz Khan Niazi, a National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) scam accused, to go abroad for treatment.
The court directed the accused to submit surety bonds of Rs 2,500,000 for the purpose.
Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa passed the orders on a petition filed by Ayaz Niazi challenging a ban on his travel aboard.
Niazi submitted he wanted to go abroad for treatment because it was impossible in Pakistan. He pointed out that his name had been included in the exit control list despite the fact that he had been granted bail in the NICL scam.
