THERE is no doubt that the protests launched by Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri are constitutional.
What is debatable and alarming is the fact that their demands threaten democracy. It also gives an opportunity to the army to take over.
The PTI’s protest has also caused the nation a loss of Rs8bn in a fortnight.
I would request all our politicians to sort out this political drama and save democracy from derailment.

The root cause of repeated failure of our democratic set up is that our electoral system is flawed. What ever good things in the system are not being implemented like article 62-63.
The problem is that our corrupt politicians do not want to see any such change in the electoral system which can hinder their presence or future entries in the assemblies. Their claim of "serving the country" is a big joke to say the least. In fact they- most of them - are always found taking undue benefits rather than serving the cause of masses. This is likely to continue till such time that we start electing honest and dedicated persons instead of voting for the men of any favourite party.

I am really sick of listening that democracy is at risk, simple question to all those people is that where is the democracy. When a country is being run by entire family and doing nothing but getting kickbacks in millions and depositing outside country and are simply fighting to save their personal wealth.
To lodge a FIR against any wealthy individual takes two months and what sort of democracy are we talking about, rape cases never get heard and forget about the justice.
What we need an honest, brave and an intelligent leader who is not afraid to implement the policies which are good for masses and country.
