KARACHI: Mohammad Raza Sawani recovered from a set down to beat Dawar Rehan in the U-16 singles semi-finals and confirmed his place in the final of second Indus Pharma National Seniors and Juniors Ranking Tennis Championship here at Karachi Club on Saturday.

Raza dropped the first set 2-6 but made a brilliant comeback in the second to win it 7-6 (9).

The third and decisive set also went into tie-breaks, which Raza won 10-7 eventually to secure his place in the event’s final.

Meanwhile, Hania secured her place in the summit clash of girls U-18 singles event after recording an immaculate 6-0, 6-0 victory against Anushe Saleh. In the final, Hania will face Wania who eased into the final after getting walkover against Maham Rasheed.

U-16 singles semifinal: Mohammad Raza Sawani bt Dawar Rehan 2-6, 7-6- (9), 10-7

U-14 singles semifinals: Nouman Aftab bt Bilal Imran 6-2, 6-3 Jalaluddin Baber bt Rayyan Imran 6-3, 6-0

U-12 singles semifinals: Muhammad Dada bt Omer Shafi 8-1

Girls U-18 singles semifinals: Wania w/o Maham Rasheed, Hania bt Anushe Saleh 6-0, 6-0

Ladies singles semifinals: Hania Naveed bt Rida Khan 6-2, 6-2, Wania Khan bt Neha Khan 6-4, 4-0 (rtd).
