QUETTA: A joint investigation team (JIT) comprising senior officers has been formed over Thursday’s killing of the bureau chief, a reporter and an accountant of a news agency here.

A police officer said on Saturday that the investigation had begun. He said no-one had claimed responsibility for the attack.

He said the team was working on all possible aspects and some evidence collected from the attacked office could help ascertain the motive.

Mobile phone data of slain bureau chief Irshad Mastoi might also help police in tracing the killers, the official said.
