SAHIWAL: Eight dacoits looted a computer shop in broad daylight at Five Ways Chowk.

The suspects looted computers, mobile phones and some accessories worth Rs4 million.

Shop owner Mohsin said first two men entered the shop and asked for flash drives. They then took out their pistols and four of their associates entered the shop and took all employees hostage.

They looted the gadgets and fled in two cars and a motorcycle. City police registered an FIR against eight unidentified dacoits.

ARRESTED: Pakpattan Saddar police arrested the head of a dacoits gang along with his four companions on Tuesday night.

SHO Rana Mushtaq said the Shahzad alias Sheedi gang was involved in a number of dacoities in the city.

The gang was tracked and arrested through mobile phone data. Police claim Sheedi was nominated in over a dozen FIRs and further investigations were going on.
