TOBA TEK SINGH: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Mirage aircraft which had flown from Shorkot Rafiqui airbase, crashed while on a routine operational training mission on Tuesday near Chak 412 JB Cheemian Wali in Shorkot tehsil, Jhang, some 12 km away from the airbase.

A police spokesperson said the pilot ejected safely and no loss of property had been reported on ground.

He said a citizen identified as Ikhlaq Ahmad was injured who had been shifted to local hospital. He said the crash was caused due to some technical fault.

Rescue 1122 extinguished the fire erupted in the aircraft while the Shorkot DSP and the respective police station house officer had reached promptly to cordon and secure the area.
