DERA MURAD JAMALI: Rail service between Quetta and the rest of the country was suspended for several hours on Sunday after a portion of the track in Bolan district between Sibi and

Dera Murad Jamali was blown up.

According to Levies officials, explosives placed on the track near Dingra blew up.

“Around a two-foot portion of the track was destroyed by the blast that rocked the entire area,” the officials said.

Quetta-bound trains were stopped at Jacobabad and other stations, while trains that had left for Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were stopped at various stations.

The train service was restored in the afternoon after replacement of the damaged portion of the track.
