KARAK: Two groups of a family opened firing on each other in Talabkhel area of Karak tehsil, leaving three members dead and three others, including two women, seriously injured on the first day of Eidul Fitr.

Police sources said that the clash occurred over some domestic issue just before Eid prayers.

Those killed were identified as Kashif Sarwar, Wali Akbar and Said Akbar, while the injured included Tasleema, Hifza and Rahim Sarwar. Both the groups have registered FIR in Sabirabad police station against each other.

Overall total eleven people were killed in different incidents during last three days.

In Sorati Kalay area, a man killed his nephew over some petty domestic issue. Sadiq, father of the deceased, registered has an FIR in Latamber police station against his brother Khaliq.

In a separate incident, one Niaz Gul, a resident of Daggar Sar, was killed by his rivals over a land dispute in the limits of Shah Saleem police station. Police registered the FIR and have started investigations.

On Thursday, two more persons embroiled in old enmities were killed. One Amanullah, resident of Barakkhel, was shot dead in the limits of Sabirabad police station and Mohammad Nawaz, resident of Jehangiri, in near Takht-i-Nusrati police station. Police registered FIRs in both the cases and have started investigations.

ROAD ACCIDENTS: Another four persons were killed and seven others injured in road accidents on the first day of Eidul Fitr. In the first incident, two motorcycles collided in Shnawa Guddikhel area of Takht-i-Nusrati tehsil, leaving two persons dead and three injured.

The deceased were identified as Nazirullah and Zafar Ihsan, while the injured included Qamar Din, Ihsanullah and Ajab Noor. In a similar incident on the same day, three persons were killed and three others injured when two motorcycles collided in Shobli Banda area.

Ghafoor Khan, Zahid and Anwar were among the killed while the injured identified as Yasir, Rashid and Usman. They injured were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Karak.
