SAHIWAL: Two persons were killed and seven others injured when a van overturned after hitting a road divider near Pakpattan Chowk early on Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, a speedy wagon coming from Okara first hit a road divider and then overturned. Conductor Maqbool, 40, and Idrees, 42, died on the spot.

Rescue 1122 shifted Jamil, Sajid, Saifullah, Waris, Mumtaz and Kashif to local DHQ Hospital in a critical condition.

Ghala Mandi police registered a case against the bus driver and its owner.
