WASHINGTON: The United States was extending “full cooperation” for recovering and transferring the bodies of a Pakistani teenager and his father who died in a plane crash earlier this week, the Pakistan Embassy said on Friday.

Ambassador Jalil Abbas Jilani spoke to the family of Mr Babar and Haris Suleman, offering the prime minister’s “deepest condolences” on the tragic plane crash near American Samoa in the Pacific in which both father and son lost their lives.

He assured the bereaved family of his support and cooperation and informed them that Pakistan Embassy had been in touch with the US authorities for the expeditious transfer of the body of Haris to his hometown and for the search of his father’s remains.

He informed them that the US authorities had also assured the embassy of support and cooperation in this regard.
