HYDERABAD: Processions were taken out and majalis were held across the province on Sunday to observe the day of martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) on the 21st of Ramazan.

In Hyderabad, a big procession was taken out at Imambargah Dadan Shah Kerbala which peacefully culminated at Qadamgah Maula Ali after passing through its traditional routes.

All streets and roads leading to the route of the procession were sealed with barbed wire as police and Rangers jawans kept watch over proceedings along the route and atop high-rise buildings.

Mirpurkhas

Majalis were held in different Imambargahs in which speakers highlighted different aspects of the life of Hazrat Ali (RA). The main procession of the day was taken out from Imambargah Bhansinghabad amid strict security.

Personnel of police and Rangers had blockaded the M.A. Jinnah road before the arrival of the procession and provided security to the participants.

**Khairpur

Majalis were held in different Imambargahs on Sunday night in which Shia ulema shed light on the character and sacrifices of Hazrat Ali (R.A).

A procession was taken out from Anjuman-i-Hyderi which peacefully returned to where it had started. Many majalis were held in Luqman and Bachal Shah Mohallas and adjoining towns of Babarloi, Kot Diji and others.

Badin

Many processions were taken out in Badin, Matli, Tando Bago, Talhar, Golarchi, Kadhan Talhar, Rajo Khanani, Pangrio, Tando Ghulam Ali, Pangrio, Kario Ghanwar, Khorwah, Nindo Shahar and other towns and villages of Badin to mark the martyrdom day of Harzrat Ali (RA).

All processions taken out from Imambharghas reached their destinations peacefully. Security had been tightened to avert possible untoward incidents.

Shikarpur

Majalis were held and processions were taken out amid tight security by police and Rangers. Shia religious scholars said in their speeches that Hazrat Ali (RA) had rendered great sacrifices for Islam and slammed the government for its failure to declare the day as a public holiday.
