ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Tuesday that the government was given the mandate to steer Pakistan out of the several crises it was currently faced with, adding that thirty to forty thousands of people could not steal the mandate given to the government by millions of people, DawnNews reported.
The premier, while addressing a tax award distribution ceremony in the federal capital, said those raising hollow slogans of revolution and change in the country are bound to fail in their designs. The investors should not give ears to their hooliganism as they cannot cause any harm to the country
He said that electricity crises, terrorism, and law and order situation were among the most important issues at the moment.
"Electricity issue is complicated and cannot be resolved in one year," the PM said, adding that all stakeholders should come forward and work for the betterment of the country.
The premier also said that those shouting for a revolution would soon feel ashamed of themselves.
He stressed that in the current situation, the country was in need of stability.
Highlighting progress in the country's economy, Prime Minister Sharif said that Moody's has put a positive outlook for the country's economy.
He also claimed that his government was not involved in any corruption scandal.
Speaking on the mass transit program, the premier said they wanted to complete Karachi's Green Bus project at the earliest on the same grounds as that of Lahore's Metro Bus project.
